Private Bank of Decatur adds senior lending officer
Veteran Banker Greg Russell responsible for commercial lending
Private Bank of Decatur has named Greg Russell Senior Vice President and Senior Lending Officer. He is responsible for commercial lending, business development and building the bank’s brand in Decatur and surrounding markets.
“Greg is a consistent producer,” says Judy Turner, President of Private Bank of Decatur, “and always considers what is best for the customer. That makes him an excellent fit for our growing team.”
Russell previously worked with C & S Bank (now Bank of America), Park Avenue Bank and Bank of North Georgia, where he last served as Community Executive for DeKalb County. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Georgia State University, as well as an MBA, also from GSU. He is a graduate of Leadership Rockdale and the Synovus Leadership Institute. Russell served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, from which he received an Honorable Discharge.

Russell is Treasurer of his homeowner’s association; serves on the Board of the Dekalb Chamber of Commerce, where he also Chairs the Finance Committee; and is a Member of the Dad’s Initiative Committee at Arabia Mountain High School. The native Atlantan is a longtime resident of DeKalb County, where he and his family currently reside.
