General Orders No. 9 is a thoughtful piece on the state of Georgia and its cultural, moral and geographical birthright, rendered through examination of historical maps, architectural artifacts, lyrical narration and exquisite landscape cinematography.  In pulling together beautifully a mixture of imagery and iconography central to identity of Georgia, and by proxy the entire American South, Persons traces a spellbinding genealogy that is both uniquely American and unforgettable.
