Chattahoochee Riverkeeper's Member Celebration
Chattahoochee Riverkeeper's (CRK) Member Celebration gives us an opportunity to share our success stories with our members, hear from inspiring speakers, and honor the work of our volunteers. We have hosted this event in locations throughout the watershed, and are excited about our new site: Oakhurst Community Garden in Decatur! (See map here.)
We will have music from Gareth Asher & the Earthlings, catered food from Parsley’s Organic Catering, kids activities, and guest speakers. We also welcome three colleagues to talk about the Georgia Water Coalition's 2013 legislative priorities: Stephanie Stuckey Benfield of GreenLaw, Todd Edwards of Association County Commissioners of Georgia, and William Perry of Common Cause.
We're excited about this year's group of volunteers we're recognizing:
• Melinda Langston, city of Atlanta's Department of Watershed Management
• Charlie Freed, Atlanta Rowing Club
• Ryan Schultz, CRK intern• Michelle Cash, Neighborhood Water Watch volunteer, Gainesville College
• Jarrett Clinton, Neighborhood Water Watch volunteer
• Tom Wilson, photographer
Family-friendly opportunities include rain barrel painting activities, and a kids play area.
Admission is FREE for current members! New or renewing members can get in for $25 (individual) or $40 (family) – $10 off our new membership price. Register here.
