Members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 66 in Decatur assembled Thanksgiving Day food baskets at their November meeting which were donated to veterans and community members in need. Members Jean Carson and Denise White spearheaded the project and personally bought enough items for eight complete Thanksgiving dinners. Other members donated canned goods and the unit purchased Kroger gift cards to add to those baskets and several others that were assembled.
